Lesa Klepper, FHFMA
Chief Operating Officer

Lesa is the Chief Operating Officer of HRG. She joined the firm in January 2009. Prior to this, she had more than 20 years of revenue cycle experience working primarily with acute care healthcare providers including a large centralized billing operation, an academic trauma center, a community-based suburban hospital and a rural hospital. Her experience includes consulting and hands-on operations of Patient Access, financial counseling, billing, credit, and collections. Lesa’s background also includes experience with physician billing, long term care facilities, and home health. Her responsibilities with HRG include primary responsibilities of the day-to-day operations as well as assisting with strategic direction and assimilating new clients.

Lesa holds a B.S. in Business Management from Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN. In 2007, she completed a 10 month Leadership Course through the University of North Carolina Graduate School of Public Health.

Lesa is an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and a past president of the Tennessee Chapter. She became a CMPA in 1991 and currently holds the designation of FHFMA. A Fulmer, Reeves, Muncie, and Medal of Honor recipient, Lesa received the Tennessee Chapter’s Henry Hottom award in 1994. On a National Level, she served a 4 year term on the association’s Board of Examiners and chaired the Annual National Institute’s Host Chapter Committee. Her interest in international healthcare delivery has been strengthened by her participation in HFMA’s US/UK Exchange in 2002-03 and by traveling with the inaugural HFMA Abroad trip to China in 2007, to Russia in 2008, and with plans to go to South Africa in 2009.

Lesa is a frequent speaker on revenue cycle at the regional and national level, with topics including patient-friendly billing, using technology to streamline operations, and self-pay strategies.
