
Michael Rainwater
Vice President, Recovery
Michael has been in various aspects of the credit and collection industry since 1986. Currently he serves as the Vice-President of Recovery for Healthcare Receivables Group with responsibility for the third-party division of the company, including collections and compliance.
Michael’s initial industry experience was working in a hospital business office before joining the staff of a local collection agency in 1989, which was acquired by Receivables Management Bureau in 1994. Michael remained with Receivables Management Bureau until 2000 when he accepted a position in the Operations unit of an international electronic payments and credit card processing company. During his tenure, he served in various operational roles including Director of Recovery, Account Establishment Services and as a Project Manager. He returned to Receivables Management Bureau (now Healthcare Receivables Group) in April of 2009.
Michael has a BA in Business Administration. He holds designations as a Certified Collection Agency Executive (CCAE) and a Credit Consumer Credit Executive (CCCE) from ACA International (formerly American Collectors Association) and has also obtained Scholar and Fellow Degrees in Collection Management from the Association. He has been a member of ACA, Tennessee Collectors Association and/or Creditors International since 1989 and served on and chaired a variety of state and national committees. He was the recipient of a national award for Leadership and served as a Certified Instructor.
Michael is actively involved with the local chapter of the American Heart Association, having served on the Executive Leadership Committee and chairing the Logistics Committee for the annual HeartWalk and various other activities.
