Knoxville, TN (November 2013) – Healthcare Receivables Group was recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Collections in 2013. This program was created by insideARM.com and Best Companies Group. Healthcare Receivables Group was ranked 11th in the “Small Companies” category (15-74 employees).

This year, more companies than ever participated and 35 met the standard to be selected. The two-part survey process consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings.

Neil Koonce Selected as Board Member for Knoxville Leadership Foundation

Knoxville, TN (February 2013) – Neil Koonce, President of Knoxville-based Healthcare Receivables Group, has been appointed to a three-year term as a Board Member for the Knoxville Leadership Foundation.

Knoxville Leadership Foundation serves the Knoxville, Tennessee area by connecting communities of resource with communities of need. The Foundation targets five specific areas of need: homes for the working poor, home repair for those who can’t afford it, training for non-profit groups, mentoring for children with parents in prison, and a workforce development program to prepare teens and adults for their careers.

The Knoxville Leadership Foundation is a member of Leadership Foundations of America, a national network of local faith-based organizations that mobilize leaders from all walks of life to tackle our cities’ biggest problems.

Neil Koonce to Receive Frederick C. Morgan Individual Achievement Award

Knoxville, TN (June 2012) – Neil Koonce, President of Knoxville-based Healthcare Receivables Group, is the recipient of the 2012 Frederick C. Morgan Achievement Award. Mr. Koonce is the 54th recipient of the prestigious award given by the Healthcare Financial Management Association annually. The award, the highest individual honor granted by the Association, recognizes Koonce for career contributions to the field of healthcare financial management and for voluntary leadership at the chapter, regional, and national levels of the Association.

Koonce has been in the Receivables Management industry since 1985. He founded Receivables Management Bureau (now Healthcare Receivables Group) in 1993. Neil currently serves as the President of HRG, a healthcare accounts receivables management company that specializes exclusively in revenue cycle operations. Koonce will receive the Frederick C. Morgan Achievement Award on June 26th at the 2012 HFMA National Institute in Las Vegas.

Healthcare Receivables Group Provides Scholarship for Mission of Hope

Knoxville, TN (April 2012) – Healthcare Receivables Group, a Knoxville-based accounts receivables management and consulting firm, has gifted a college scholarship to a high school student in rural Appalachia through Mission of Hope.  Neil Koonce, HRG President, presented the college scholarship to Mission of Hope’s Executive Director, Emmette Thompson, at a recent company event.

Koonce commented, “Our corporate culture is predicated on loving our neighbors. Mission of Hope is special to us because their work impacts our region and we see tangible evidence of their success. Education is foundational for breaking poverty. We are thankful to provide a scholarship, through Mission of Hope, to a student that may not otherwise have an opportunity to attend college.”

Since 1996, the Mission of Hope has taken hope to the people of Appalachia. It provides Christian ministries during appropriate seasons of the year through a system of delivering clothes, food, toys, and school supplies to impoverished families. Additionally, Mission of hope assists in home repairs. To encourage qualifying students of the area, scholarships are provided to assist in developing students’ skills or other interest for the creation of new or expanded jobs in the area.

Healthcare Receivables Group Selected as Service Provider for Mountain States Health Alliance

Knoxville, TN (October 2010) – Knoxville-based Healthcare Receivables Group (HRG) has been selected as a service provider by Johnson City-based Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA).  HRG will provide its receivables management services to MSHA hospitals in Tennessee and Virginia.
